A little more about me
Joe was born in Keokuk, Iowa, and grew up in Hagerstown, Indiana. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from DePauw University and later completed an MBA in Finance and Marketing at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Joe began his banking career as a Commercial Loan Officer, spending nine years working with small and medium-sized businesses in the DMV area. For the past 29 years, he has focused on residential mortgage origination and has received numerous top producer awards. His expertise has been recognized by Washingtonian magazine as one of the area’s Top Mortgage Professionals.
Hamilton Dawson, a key member of Joe’s team, has been his full partner for over a decade, collaborating closely with clients and referral sources.
Recently, Joe and his partner, Ben, relocated to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. While establishing a client base in Charlotte, Joe remains dedicated to his clients in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, making regular visits to the DMV region throughout the year.

Hamilton joined the mortgage industry in 2011. Starting his lending career in the fast-paced DC real estate market, he has gained valuable knowledge in managing customer relationships, ensuring on-time execution of services, and coordinating all aspects of the loan application, financing, and closing process.
Licensed in DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina, Hamilton strives to be an industry expert for each client, providing tailored borrowing options that best fit their situation and goals. This personalized and collaborative approach allows buyers to make informed and strategic decisions, which makes the home financing process less daunting.
Outside the office, you will find Hamilton spending time with his wife, son, and his Bernese Mountain dog named Bodhi.
