FSMC Cares

Our hearts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the catastrophic flooding brought on by Hurricane Harvey. We know thousands of people have lost their homes and belongings and are now faced with the challenge of putting their communities and lives back together. As a lender, we know the impact of what this means in the lives of so many families in Houston and the surrounding affecting areas. Although the damage of this historic storm isn't quite over yet, many organizations around the country have stepped up to help those in the path of Harvey. First Savings Mortgage Corporation (FSMC) is dedicated to helping our community as well as any communities in need. FSMC will be donating $5K to those affected by Harvey through the following organizations:

National Aid:
American Red Cross
"The American Red Cross is working around the clock along the Gulf Coast to help the thousands of people whose lives have been devastated by Tropical Storm Harvey." They are accepting donations on their website and you can also text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10. Learn More or Donate

Food Aid:
Houston Food Bank
For every $1, you provide 3 meals. Your support helps provide meals for hungry families affected. They will provide food and supplies in the short term and for many months to come for residents in southeast Texas who will be struggling to rebuild their lives. The Food Bank will work closely with their network of partner agencies to ensure food is getting to those who need it most. Learn More or Donate

Children Aid:
Texas Diaper Bank
Not many think of the specific things that are in need right now but diapers and baby items are vital during this time for families. Learn More or Donate

Pet Aid:
Humane Society of the United States
The Animal Rescue team is in Texas right now helping families deal with the flood hitting so many communities. They worked days before the Hurricane hit landfall and they are currently working with local officials on animal transport and rescue. Learn More or Donate

Local Aid:
Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
"After receiving an overwhelming number of inquiries from citizens and companies who want to help, Mayor Sylvester Turner has established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund that will accept tax-deducible flood relief donations for victims affected by the recent floods." Learn More or Donate

If you are in a position to do so, we encourage you to support an organization that you feel can make an impact in helping these communities rebuild.

Thank you,
